Dwindling Facebook

Is it me or are we all using facebook less and less? Even with Facebook accessible from my iPhone I don't find the need for it anymore.  In the last few days FB has revamped their website and some are saying it looks a lot like Twitter. What do you think? Are you still crazy about the most poplular social networking tool out there?

I have two uses for Facebook now. Okay, three.

1) Checking statuses. I have a ton more "friends" on there than Twitter, so it serves a purpose, for now. It's also good for promoting my site.

2) Photos. I like to see photo albums that people post.

3) Wordscraper. Once enough people nudge me, I log in to make my moves. I barely have time for the many things I want to do, but somehow I have to squeeze in a few minutes to play a move or two.

In short, Facebook has become less appealing, at least in terms of all its features. I'm much more interested in simple status updates, photo links, etc. Twitter does this simply, and with a more open and available system.

I'll probably keep using Facebook, but with limited use.

I use Facebook to keep in touch with people... but, yes, I hate all the things mentioned on that video. I do like Wordscraper... fun... and I like people's photos... but I do get very annoyed with all the apps, events, friend requests (from people I don't know), etc. Great video!

I agree. Its seems like the norm for social networking website to become really popular and then crash hard such as Myspace,Bebo,Hi5 and the list goes on. When will there be a tool that is useful, practical, and not annoying? Or maybe we need to revert back to hand written letters?!!
